Everything here is so expensive. Even just a tube of mascara, a lippy or some eyeshadow is at least $20. And most of the branded stuff is really bad in quality. I want to look good, but I don't want to spend too much. How much do you spend on make-up?

I would spend the money on eyeliner, like from Mac. Lip gloss and lipstick I would spend the money on from like Origins, Lancome or Mac. But you could go cheaper with the lip gloss and lipstick too. Like Revlon or Loreal.

Some women swear to the Monistat Chafing Cream, which can be found at drugstores. I haven't used it, but it's *not* medicated for your... um... ';area'; (I know, Monistat T_T'''''). Apparently it works well as a primer though...Where do i buy make-up primer?
wal mart, revlon has some in a small squeezy clear container/tube thing. its about 20.00 canadian though, expensive but it lasts you a while because you dont need much.

by some theatrical make-up in green and dap a small amount on the redness, green will cover up redness, cant remember how but its something to do with bein oposit each other on the colour wheel,
you could use a max factor pan stick which is like a concealer which will even your skin tone/hide any scaring then you can just pop your usual foundation over the top.

West coast beauty supply carries it, so you could ask your stylist or nail tech to go in and buy it for you. Otherwise you will be able to find it at salons and spa's only. If you go on the bed head cosmetics website you can search retailers to find places in your area that carry it.

-GREEN or HAZEL EYES-forest green, apricot, browns, purple nude/pink, plum will suit you
-BROWN EYES-copper, bronze, khaki green, and apricot, or pink will suit you.
For the eyeliner i would choose a brown/black for ur skin and hair.
put it on the bottom line, but for a really pretty eye put the eyeliner on ur bottom EYELASH area, not on the actual eyeline. I would start with a pencil not liquid since you are just starting.
LIPS- for you i would use a light pink/nude color for lipgloss and a sheer clear or shimmery gloss to put over it. I personally dont like lip liner but that is not up to me.

Okay, I tried Sheer Cover and the coverage is not so great. For me, it was cakey and flakey.
I tried Bare Minerals and wore it for a while, I'm talking about a few years, but realized it actually made my face oily and contains an ingredient (bismuth oxychloride) that irritates my skin.
Now I am using every day minerals because it has no fillers, no bismuth oxychlorides, no preservatives, and I am loving it!
You can order online a free sampler kit, you just have to pay for shipping. I also like their brushes.
There are other products out there, but if you notice, most contain parabens (preservatives to enhance shelf life that can really mess up your skin), fragrance (usually synthetically created to mask the odor of the product), and other harsh irritants to your face.

Truly, I do like Bare Minerals the best. I tried Neutrogena, Ulta and other knockoff brands, but the best results were from Bare Minerals. I shop Sephora for my makeup, they have a great selection.

I love Max Factor as far as good for your skin and all the shades,colors,and special effects you can get. If you ever want to go more expensive but well worth it try Clinique, usually department store only. Bonnebell eyeshadow boxes have lots of variety and the price is very good around $3 or $4.. and its not one of those cheapy kinds trust me i use it right now.

I'm really glad you're asking this! My make up artist told me that if you start mixing up make up brands, that they'll try to compete on your face and you could start getting bad results to your face.
Normally, I like mixing and matching because of the different shades and colors with the different brands. Nothing has happened to my face, so don't worry. I think it's perfectly fine.

I got mine at Sephora for 60 bucks and I just love it! If you want more coverage just use the Kabuki brush (alot of coverage) for everything, which is what I do. I only use the Flawless Application Brush (medium coverage) for the Warmth. Since I need a little bit more coverage I also apply the foundation twice and I bought the Concealer you can get sold seperatly for 8 bucks, I also use that for spot coverage with the maximum concealer brush, then apply it twice with the kabuki brush. Nope, I dont get cakey or anything. I LOVE BE! :] Oh, and for the concealer, just ask someone at the counter what shade you would be, I'm fairly light/light in the foundation (and im usually a medium in liquid) and I'm a Bisque in the concealer. The lady at Sephora helped me out and she did a great job!

I'm an avid woodworker and find that the chisels that I use the most are 1/4, 3/4, 1';, %26amp; 1 1/2';.
the middle two are used for deadbolts and doors, the qtr is for mortice wk and the lg is for chipping out.
you needn't get an expensive set as much as you need to know how to sharpen them.
I've found that my all around peices are ACE Hdwr brand, they are easily replaced if lost, stolen or hit some unfortunate nail in the way. they hold up quite well and you can add to the line for a nominal fee.
I still have my original set aft my purchase and have added to it in size thru the 30yrs.
The steel is good and for the amount of use it gets, a lillle grinding will give you a sharp cut over %26amp; over again.
Just store well, get him some caps for the ends and oil now and then aft use. Use a wood hammer so not to destroy the heads nor pean them over. 'Master Machanic's' is the ACE brand;
Marples is another lengthyer brand;
there is also Craftsman @ Sears.
I think you will find that if your friend is a good carpenter and wants to care for his tools with a sharp blade he should know how to sharpen all/or any of the brands...and I think they will outlive him if well cared for.

Marples, definitely. I'd get a quarter-inch, a half inch and a one and a half inch, myself. Get him a good quality (cheap ones aren't even flat) oilstone, too, to sharpen them - all chisels lose their edges in use.
I wpuldn't go on just a brand (crown are good though). The best are carbon steel ( they hold an edge better)

Brown and Gold tones always make blues eyes brighter. Also using a white eyeliner on your waterline will always make your eyes look brighter. Also if you use a shimmer shade that is a light color putting it on the inner part of your lid will also brighten your eyes
When my eyes turn blue, i love to use black eyeliner on the bottom and inner top of my eyes. also some black mascara. my eyes look so bright. if you got some bronzer for your face, it would make them look even more bright and beautiful.

Superdrug is great for the cheaper, more ordinary brands such as Rimmel and often has good offers on.
Department stores, such as Debenhams, House of Fraser and Selfridges are my favourites though because they have a wide selection of premium brand counters where you can try the products and have free make-overs, which you can't in shops like Superdrug.

Most of us wouldn't know. Just be sure not to give unwanted advice that might offend her or make her feel bad, for example:
';Which foundation do you think would look better, this one or this one.';
';The one you're holding in your left hand, but you had better pick up some of the concealer for your horrible acne while you're at it.';
