Boots is probably one of the best places as it does more ordinary and premium make-up brands, depending on which shop you go to.
Superdrug is great for the cheaper, more ordinary brands such as Rimmel and often has good offers on.
Department stores, such as Debenhams, House of Fraser and Selfridges are my favourites though because they have a wide selection of premium brand counters where you can try the products and have free make-overs, which you can't in shops like Superdrug.

For moderately priced make up, head to a larger version of Boots the Chemist, the superstores carry both branded make up and cheaper versions like L'Oreal and Bourjois (which are owned and made by the same people who make Lancome and Chanel cosmetics respectively), they will surely be something to suit you in there.
Erm Superdrug and Boots for your lower class brands and Jenners,Debenhams and John Lewis for your upper class make-up and most supermarkets do your basic make-up ranges too gawd i love make-up
Superdrug!! They have the 2true range which has 3 productus for a fiver and some of the colours are lush!! I dont see the point in spending a fortune when you can get just as good at a nice price!
Depends if you want to spend mega money with top of the range make-up. Otherwise go to Boots - any high street chemist - woolies -superdrug or your local supermarket.
Boots or Superdrug has a good selection of all the top brands or for something more upmarket try Mac which can be found it some department stores such as Debenhams

Well, i guess it's ok if the guy knows what he's talking about. Some guys are just so clueless when it comes to picking out makeup.
well first of all my b/f will make the most stupid comments and he doesn't like me wearing makeup so much for that .but i think it would be fun if i have a guys that was into that stuff.no big

I love Clinique. It's GREAT for sensitive skin! To tell you the truth, my skin actually looks better after using Clinique. Love it!

yes clinique is lovely and its hyper-allegenic so good for sensitive skin and for people that are allergic to certain make up.
its easier on the skin and therefore better for it
its worth every penny, much better than all the loreal and maybeline stuff as that is overloaded with chemicals.

my cleanser, foundation and powder are clinique... they won't damage your skin, really....

But I don't use their makeup. Well, I use the touch base for eyes in Canvas, and sometimes the mascara.
I would highly recommend Bare Escentuals. They have an awesome line of foundation, eye color, cheek color, and the best product, Mineral Veil. It is all natural, yet covers well, making you flawless.
Give it a shot. If not, I would recommend Clinique second. (Turned my sister on to Clinique and the next day she was calling me saying she already noticed a difference!)

What i would do is go in before the wedding, explain to them what it is you're looking for, and have a run-through. Have them do a full face so that you can see what it looks like, and whether or not you like it. Then after you've decided, go back the morning of your wedding and have them do your makeup and hair. You might be a little nervous that day and not be able to do it very well yourself. Just a suggestion!~

Personally I like rimmel and I buy it from boots.
Avon has some really good stuff in, a bit expensive but sometimes can buy one get one free.
I'd say for younger skin, such as teenagers - miss sporty from superdrug, as it will help your skin more than you think, because sometimes, brands like rimmel and mac, are made for older skin, not teenagers :].

I definitely suggest Coonobabe - I use this South Beach style brand almost exclusively. The quality is similar to bobbi brown, or chanel but much much much less expensive.
